Iason Voliotis (b. 1993, Greece) is a versatile artist sharing his interest between sound engineering, sound design and music composition. He studied Music Composition at the Ionian University in Corfu, Greece from 2011-2016 and specialized in Music Composition for Film, Theater and Performing Arts, during the Masters program from 2017-2019. Since 2020 he has been a master student at the Music and Technology HKU-Utrecht, where he explores sound engineering as a creative tool, blending composition, engineering and performance in a multidisciplinary context.
He lives and works in The Netherlands as a boom operator and sound designer for film, as well as a sound engineer and producer for classical music. Since 2024 he is teaching Sound Design for Animation & Interactive Media, at AKTO Art & Design College. Always intrigued to say a new story through sound.
